From October 2009 until February 2010 the Conceptum Team organized the forwarding, delivery and returning of 50 53” trailers with bobs and skeletons of several Winter Sports Federations.
Regardless of whether it was for training, the America´s Cup or the Olympics in Vancouver, the teams always had all their equipment on the spot right on time.
The road transports and customs clearance also were carried out by Conceptum Logistics.
The project compromised different categories:
Intercontinental Transports
In October 2009 70 bobsleds (approx. 56 t / 8x53” trailer) were sent to Vancouver for trainings, followed by 100 skeletons in November including equipment (approx. 65 t) for the World Cup in Whistler and Calgary. Subsequently those bobs and skeletons were returned to Europe for the World Cup in Innsbruck.
Transports in North America
In November 2009 Conceptum Logistics organized the road transports of bobsleds for the America´s Cup – first from Calgary to Park City (approx. 1600 kms / 2 x 53” trailer incl. customs clearance of 15 Carnets) then back again (3 x 53” trailer, customs clearance also included), continuing to Lake Placid (about 3800 kms) and last but not least back to Calgary.
Olympic Wintergames
For the Olympic Games 2010 Conceptum forwarded bobs and skeletons from Europe to Vancouver, including delivery to the Whistler Sliding Centre. All sports equipment returned back to by the end of February 2010.
