Brief description

As Project Manager (m/f/d) you will be joining the team of our Conceptum Logistics branch office Spring, Texas in USA. You will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of complex project freight forwarding operations, ensuring compliance with international regulations, managing vendor and client relationships, and delivering tailored transport solutions across multiple modes of transport.

  • Lead end-to-end project execution for complex freight forwarding operations, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple transport modes (heavy haul, oversize trucking, rail, ocean, and air).
  • Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. and international regulations, including export controls, FMC requirements, and hazardous materials transportation standards (IMDG/IATA/ICAO/49 CFR).
  • Oversee documentation processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness for commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and letters of credit.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, securing competitive rates and reliable service from carriers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project performance, proactively identifying risks, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining alignment with client expectations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (sales, pricing, finance, engineering, operations) to ensure resource availability and operational efficiency.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance operational workflows, increase profitability, and support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Support business development efforts, including preparing RFQs, bid packages, and pricing strategies for new opportunities.
  • Provide leadership in compliance and safety, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental programs and Quality Management Systems.
  • Travel as needed to project sites, vendor locations, and client meetings to oversee execution and strengthen partnerships.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient PC operational knowledge along with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed customer relations skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
  • Goal-oriented, self-disciplined, and self-motivated to produce results.
  • Demonstrates effective negotiations and closing techniques.
  • Profound knowledge of documentation.
  • Knowledge of letters of credit would be appreciated.
  • Experience with domestic heavy haul & oversize trucking and rail transports, port operations, vessel chartering, break bulk ocean transportation, and FCL/LCL shipments.
