Brief description

As Senior Manager Business Development (m/f/d) you will be joining the team of our Conceptum Logistics branch office Shanghai in China. This position is responsible for managing and developing strategic customer relationships within the China region, focusing on project logistics. This role requires a deep understanding of customers’ business models, complexities, and unique challenges in project logistics. By providing customized logistics solutions, the role will enhance customer satisfaction and support Conceptum China in achieving revenue and growth objectives.

  • Prospect and onboard new customers, focus on new business development for project cargo and OOG cargo,establish and maintain long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct cost analysis for commercial proposals and participate in solution design for RFI/RFQ, design customized logistics solutions to meet customers’ specific project requirements.
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for customers, lead contract negotiations, reviewed and assisted in the preparation of the plans and contracts. During this process, focused on the scalability of the business and risk management.
  • Cooperate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored services and provide innovative solutions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to strengthen relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends and ensure logistics services align with evolving market and client demands.
  • Report business development progress to the immediate supervisor in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • College diploma or above, major in Marketing, Logistics or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in logistics or freight forwarding industry, with mature customer management and business development skills. Proficient in freight forwarding-related knowledge, familiar with the entire process of project logistics business. Experience in bulk cargo transportation sales will be given priority. consideration.
  • Have a strong desire to become an outstanding business development professional and industry expert, and willing to deeply engage in and continuously grow in the project goods and OOG logistics fields for the long term.
  • Excellent English proficiency in both oral and written communication.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, result-oriented with strong business acumen and execution capability.
