As Project Manager Operations (m/f/d) you organize the handling of our project shipments at home and abroad.

The Conceptum Logistics Group specialises in project logistics. We develop individual transport solutions for our customers and transport freight – no matter how large or heavy – to the most remote regions. Founded in 2002, we have a large number of customers on all continents and are still owner-managed today. We are represented at many locations worldwide with our own branch offices. Many years of experience abroad, reliable planning, proactive responses, short decision-making and a “hands-on” mentality ensure a high level of acceptance and long-standing relationships with our customers.

Your tasks

– Independent handling of project orders

– Selection of optimal suppliers incl. negotiation of conditions

– Coordination of loading and unloading at all relevant trans-shipment points

– On-site cargo monitoring within the scope of projects

– Customs clearance

– Preparing all documents accompanying transport

– Acceptance and, if necessary, processing of damage reports

– Invoicing to customers

Your qualifications

– You have successfully completed training in forwarding and logistics or shipping

– Have a proven track record of breakbulk transports by sea/land/air

– Experience and Enjoyment in operative purchasing of logistics services and their negotiation

– Enjoy the handling of major international projects

– Have a organisational talent and negotiation skills

– Are structured and work conscientiously

– A reliable, committed character

– Ability to work under pressure and in a team

– Knowledge of MS-Office, of CargoSoft and Salesforce is an andvantage

– A fluency in business German and English, further foreign languages an andvantage

As Tender Manager (m/f/d) you will process customer enquiries and prepare quotations for our project shipments at home and abroad.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible to provide efficient, accurate, complete and effective tender proposal responses to our clients
  • Processing customer, inhouse and partner enquiries
  • Subcontractor management, maintenance and extension
  • Participation in charter requests, actively negotiate and finalize charter bookings
  • Creation and maintenance of templates, distribution lists and supplier lists
  • Develop bid/sales strategies in collaboration with senior management and support functions
  • Support pricing/operations department on developing commercial proposals
  • Follow-up of all bids and actively take part in renegotiations
  • Establish and identify room for improvement within the area of responsibility and actively support in the change process
  • Represent CONCEPTUM Logistics at sales calls, bid clarification meetings, negotiations and kick-off meetings
  • Roll out of won tenders/bids inside our organization and act as commercially responsible throughout the course of the project

Your qualifications

  • Eligible to work in Germany. No visa or other requirements needed
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the shipping and/or forwarding industry, including successful completion of associated trainings in the same field
  • Proven track record in the industrial projects sector
  • Strong commercial, technical and financial acumen
  • Very detail and design oriented
  • Willingness to continually improve the quality of documents and presentations
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels
  • Vast experience in the preparation of project tenders, offers and pricing of technical assignments
  • Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign and control)
  • Team player in every aspect
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • A reliable, committed character
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of MS-Office, CargoSoft and Salesforce is an advantage
  • Preferably German native speaker and extensive skills in English, further foreign languages are of advantage
