Brief description
As a Manager Customer Request Management & Pricing (m/f/d), you play a key role in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and seamless handling of customer project tenders, as well as internal and partner requests. Together with the Operations & Project Management team, you develop tailored transport solutions, coordinate pricing processes, and contribute to the successful execution of domestic and international project shipments.
We are looking for talented professionals based in Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Istanbul who enjoy working in an international environment, collaborating across teams, and taking ownership of customer-focused projects. You will work remotely while collaborating closely with all offices worldwide; especially our team at the Headquarters Hamburg.
- Handling incoming transport inquiries
- Obtaining competitive and optimal rates and terms from all relevant suppliers and partners in close coordination with our international offices and involved departments (e.g., Engineering and Chartering)
- Preparing competitive quotations and transport concepts based on prior market analysis
- Following up on quotations and conducting negotiations where required
- Finalizing customer orders and handing them over to the Operations team
- Close coordination and collaboration with Operations and our international offices
- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships
- Supporting Tender Management in the preparation and execution of project tenders and bids
- A commercial apprenticeship (ideally in freight forwarding and logistics or shipping) or an equivalent qualification
- Initial experience in project cargo (OOG, heavy lift)
- Initial experience of, or an interest in, breakbulk transport by sea or land
- A passion for managing large-scale international projects
- A willingness to learn new things, to play an active role and a high degree of self-motivation
- Open-mindedness, the ability to work in a team and good negotiation skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of Cargosoft desirable
- Good English skills; any additional languages are beneficial
